CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio (AP) — A suspended Ohio police chief will learn whether he goes to jail for his role in snooping on the woman who carried twins for Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick.

Chad Dojack of Bridgeport in eastern Ohio will be sentenced Wednesday on his no-contest plea last week to dereliction of duty. He could get up to 90 days on the misdemeanor charge.

Dojack and Barry Carpenter, the ex-chief of nearby Martins Ferry, were accused of scheming to take things from the surrogate mother’s home in Martins Ferry to sell to paparazzi.

Carpenter was convicted of charges including receiving stolen property and theft in office and sentenced to two years, eight months in prison.

Bridgeport’s village council is considering whether Dojack will remain police chief.
