Coakley seeks votes at non-partisan Martin Luther King Jr. memorial event

The son of Martin Luther King Jr. this morning defended Democrat Attorney General Martha Coakley after her GOP U.S. Senate rival took a swipe at her for asking for votes during an annual breakfast honoring the slain civil rights leader.

“I thought it was certainly an appropriate ceremony to celebrate this holiday. Every campaign my father worked on, he encouraged people to vote,” Martin Luther King III told the Herald.
