A Johns Hopkins University student who fatally hit an intruder with a samurai sword won’t be charged, the city State’s Attorney’s Office said Thursday.
John Pontolillo, of New Jersey, hit and killed a man with the sword in September. It occurred in a fenced courtyard behind the off-campus home that he shared with other students.
Donald Rice, 49, died in the incident, police said.
