I am reading the new D.C. Pierson novel for work

And by “new” I mean “first.” If you don’t know who D.C. Pierson is, you really need to find out. He and I have been blog-buddies for a while. His blog is here. He only graduated from college a couple of years ago, and he and his sketch-comedy group (Derrick) have already made a feature film (Mystery Team) and he’s now published a novel, The Boy Who Couldn’t Sleep and Never Had To. I hate his guts. But he’s a great guy and what I’ve managed to read of the novel so far is a really funny and frighteningly accurate depiction of high-school life. And apparently it gets crazier and more hilarious.

So I’m going to try to do some sort of instant-message interview with him today, after I read as much of the book as I can. Whatever happens, you’ll be the first to know.

P.S. Looks like it’s not going to happen today. Sometime next week.
