Royal Dutch Shell on Tuesday outlined a pay structure that will freeze executive salaries for a year and restructure discretionary pay awards, following a revolt at last year’s annual meeting by shareholders over the level of executive remuneration.
The plans were outlined by Hans Wijers, the new head of Shell’s remuneration committee, and were detailed in a letter to investors. The measures follow months of consultation with leading shareholders.
