PHOENIX – Manny Ramirez lives his life in relentless pursuit of having fun.

A day after telling reporters he won’t be a Dodger next season and even hinting at retirement, then watching them scramble to get the news out, Ramirez was back at it Tuesday.

Now he envisions playing well into his 40s.

“After I practiced yesterday, now I feel like I can play for five more years,” Ramirez, who turns 38 on May 30, said with a big smile in the Dodgers clubhouse. “Three more years here and two in Japan.”
