Pistol-whipping? Home invasion robbery? Not at Diddy’s house

It happened early Sunday: Two armed men and two women forced their way into a party at a Mulholland Drive mini-mansion and robbed at gunpoint a bunch of as-yet unidentified hip-hop and R&B performers who were staying there (as well as members of their entourage), police say. Several guests were pistol-whipped; money and jewelry were stolen. And by early Monday, the news was all over the blogosphere, courtesy of a widely cited celebrity connection.

“A strange home-invasion robbery unfolded over the weekend in a tony part of Woodland Hills, on Mulholland Drive, at a home that might or might not be connected to Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs,” states an item posted Monday on Laweekly.com.
