Cash for your “clunker” appliances will start flowing next month.

Ohioans will be able to earn rebates on the purchase of Energy Star-rated refrigerators and other appliances beginning March 26, said Nadine Howard, director of Ohio’s Energy Resources Division.

The state said it has $11 million to spend on the rebate plan and expects to award rebates on 89,335 appliance purchases this year.

Consumers can get $100 back for qualified refrigerators, dishwashers and high-efficiency gas water heaters, $150 back for washers and $250 back for electric heat pumps and water heaters.
