An arrest was made late Sunday afternoon in the case of missing California teenager Chelsea King. John Albert Gardner III, a registered sex offender, was arrested in the town of Del Dios, California. Investigators would not give specifics, except that certain pieces of physical evidence pointed them in Gardner’s direction.
Chelsea King was reported missing on Thursday after failing to return home from an afternoon jog in Rancho Bernardo park, outside of San Diego. Her car and belongings were found in her car, but no trace of her has been found. Investigators are still searching the area around the park for clues into what happened to King.
