Nobody inspires more loyalty than Nancy Pelosi

Font Size:

In an interview with ABC’s Elizabeth Vargas yesterday, the finest Speaker of the House in the history of the United States set us all straight about what we really think:

I think everybody wants affordable health care for all Americans. They know that this will take courage. It took courage to pass Social Security. It took courage to pass Medicare. And many of the same forces that were at work decades ago are at work again against this bill.

But the American people need it, why are we here? We’re not here just to self perpetuate our service in Congress. We’re here to do the job for the American people.

Even though the American people don’t want it.  What’s up with that, American people? Do you actually think you can run your own life better than Nancy Pelosi can? Why don’t you trust her?

And all you House Democrats who are wavering on ObamaCare: How dare you? Sure, you might think it’s easy for Pelosi to push you off a cliff because she’s not going anywhere. You might think the only way to drag her out of Congress would be to bring back Che Guevara from the dead and run him against her. And you’re probably right. But who are you to stand in the way of history? Who are you to stop and realize that if the U.S. had instituted socialized medicine 100 years ago, Pelosi might actually resemble a human female of her approximate age and not a Spitting Image puppet? If you know what’s good for you, all you wavering Dems, you’ll throw away your political careers for this ludicrous pipe dream historic moment in history as far as historicalness.

Are we clear? Now leap!
