Sarah Palin and reality TV show producer Mark Burnett pitching Alaskan docudrama
Is she still running?
Former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin and reality TV producer Mark Burnett are trying to sell a docudrama show. Palin and Burnett have been seen trying to sell the show to ABC, FOX, and CBS executives. Sources have revealed the show will be a “planet-Earth type look” at the former GOP vice presidential candidate’s home state.
The biggest question that will have the political world buzzing is if this is a move to increase her visibility for a 2012 presidential run, or if this signals a shift in priorities for the conservative superstar.
Palin and Burnett have reportedly met with FOX’s Mike Darnell, the network’s unofficial reality show chief, and there are plans to have a meeting with Jeff Gaspin, the chairman of NBC Universal TV. Sarah Palin has made the most of her week in Los Angeles, also appearing on “The Tonight Show.”
One has to wonder, given Governor Palin’s high profile, whether she will be the focus of the show or be a behind-the-scenes figure?
