First-quarter severance charges for 2010 are currently estimated to be approximately $150 million to $200 million on after tax. Job cuts will occur through 2011.
Chevron is planning to solicit bids for operations in Europe, including its Pembroke refinery, the Caribbean and select Central America markets. It is also reviewing operations in Hawaii and Africa, outside of South Africa.
