A moderate 4.4-magnitude earthquake rumbled in Los Angeles County early Tuesday morning, about a mile northeast of Pico Rivera, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
People in Hawthorne, Whittier and West Covina reported the quake awakened them about 4:04 a.m., KTLA-TV, Los Angles, reported.
