Senator Collins said: “In response to the two letters that I sent, Peter Orszag, Director of the Office of Management and Budget, called me earlier this week to discuss the issues that I raised. Specifically, we discussed my concerns that the “High Road” proposal would make it more difficult for small businesses to compete for federal government contracts and thereby increase costs for American taxpayers. We had a good discussion of my concerns, and Director Orszag told me that I would be briefed before the Administration made any major change.”
