Ford CEO Mulally’s Compensation Rose to $17.9 Million in 2009

Ford Motor Co. Chief Executive Alan Mulally’s total compensation rose 5.9% last year to $17.9 million, with most of the increase coming from stock awards based on the company’s improved performance.

Mr. Mulally, who accepted a voluntary 30% pay cut, received a 2009 salary of $1.4 million and stock and option awards valued at $16.5 million, according to the auto maker’s proxy statement filed Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Mr. Mulally received no bonus for 2009.
