Arizona Cardinals linebacker Joey Porter has alleged he was struck by the officer who arrested him Saturday, the Bakersfield Californian reported Wednesday.
Porter, 33, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol early Saturday in a fast-food restaurant parking lot in Bakersfield on suspicion of drunken driving. He also was accused of assaulting an officer and resisting arrest.
Porter’s allegation that he was struck is being investigated, Sgt. Larry McGuire said Tuesday, according to the Californian.
