Man attempted to hire FBI agent to carry out a hit on his ex

PORTLAND – A federal grand jury indicted 42 year old Darryl Belk for his involvement in a murder for hire scheme. The US Attorney Dwight Holton announced the 8-count indictment alleging Belk’s involvement in a murder for hire scheme.

Belk is accused of asking an associate to find a person who could, “send a permanent message to someone.” According to the indictment, Belk then traveled to Portland to meet with a person to discuss an $8,000 payment for the murder of his ex-girlfriend.

The supposed hit man was an FBI agent. Belk was arrested late Friday, April 16th at a Jantzen Beach parking lot without incident.
