Stop laughing. Stop it!
The gentleman depicted in this satirical video, Penn State professor and “hockey stick” graph concocter Michael Mann, is not happy:
The Penn State climate professor who has silently endured investigations, hostile questioning, legislative probes and attacks by colleagues has finally spoken out. He says he’ll sue the makers of a satirical video that’s a hit on You Tube.
Their response: Bring it on…
In his letter Mann threatened legal action, claiming the spoof video “illegally used his image and defamed him.”
Seems like Fair Use to me. He’s a public figure. And where’s the defamation? Which part isn’t true? Is he worried that people will think he actually murders anthropomorphic trees?
It’s not enough that these guys think their public pronouncements are above reproach. Now they throw a fit when we goof on them. What are they, Muslims?
