Every spring, universities and colleges vie for influential commencement speakers who will inspire their graduates.

This year, the most traditionally coveted speaker — the president — graced the University of Michigan on Saturday, an exceptionally early graduation date.  Other exciting speakers such as Bill Clinton, Alec Baldwin, and Arnold Schwarzenegger are yet to come.

What should students, parents and faculty expect from these speakers? Here’s a guess at what some will say in the spotlight, when charged with bestowing sage advice on young, impressionable minds.
