Israeli companies have “endless” possibilities to sell clean technology to China in areas such as water recycling, desalination and solar power, Environmental Protection Minister Gilad Erdan said.
China’s ability to maintain economic growth will depend on finding solutions to problems such as air pollution and water contamination, caused by the migration of the rural population to cities, Erdan said in an interview yesterday after visiting China’s Great Wall near Beijing.
“Cleantech technologies are the biggest common ground that we can cooperate on,” Erdan said at the end of a week- long visit to China with Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz. “I think the possibilities are endless. Every company that can help with new technologies will have a lot of business opportunities in China.”
