BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — 90 year old John Bunz pled not guilty to the brutal murder of his 89 year old wife Virginia today (Tuesday) in State Supreme Court. He spoke only to say that he understood the second degree murder charge, which would send him to jail for 25 years to life if convicted.
The prosecutor offered what he calls strong evidence against Bunz. According to court documents, police claim that Bunz confessed quote “My wife and I had a dispute and i took a hammer to her. Then I was struggling with her and I put a pillow over her… Then there was a struggle, I kept the pillow over her… I don’t know, I think she’s… my daughter says she's dead.” He then claims he tried to take his own life.
