Woman indicted for assault with frozen dog

San Jacinto County resident Cheryl Anne Hierholzer was recently indicted in the 258 District Court for allegedly striking an elderly woman with a frozen dog.

According to court records, Hierholzer, 55, has been charged with a Third Degree Felony for allegedly striking Evalyn Philips, who is described as being over 65-years-old, in the head in February 2010.

San Jacinto County District Attorney Bill Burnett stated that it was the first time in his career that the words “frozen dog” have been used to describe a weapon.
