A Queens woman’s ashes were stolen from her daughter’s rental car just hours after she was cremated, police said Wednesday.
Eileen Dashiell’s ashes, which were packed in a cardboard box and placed inside a green tote bag, were stolen from the car along with a laptop, a DVD player and a camera, police and her relatives said.
“It’s terrible,” said Reva Shuff, a relative of Dashiell, 59, who died earlier this month of unknown causes.
