Exxon: Gulf spill won’t change deep-water drilling approach

Exxon Mobil Corp. won’t change its approach to deep-water drilling in the Gulf of Mexico or elsewhere around the world in the wake of the BP accident, company chairman Rex Tillerson said after his annual meeting Wednesday in Dallas.

“There have been more than 14,000 deep-water wells drilled, the vast majority of them successfully,” Tillerson said.
