KANSAS CITY, MO – Kansas City police are investigating after two men were found dead Thursday evening, their bodies wrapped in trash bags and stuffed in a shopping cart. They were found in what is believed to be an abandoned home in the 4500 block of Askew in Kansas City.
Police have identified the victims as brothers John L. Hooker, 21, and Joseph L. Hooker, 18. The two had been missing since Tuesday night.
According to police, the TIPS Hotline received a call just after 6 p.m. from a caller saying there were two dead bodies near 45th and Askew. When officers arrived at the address, they discovered the bodies of two men in a shopping cart behind the home.
Police say that they followed a trail of blood to a nearby home, where they searched for evidence in connection with the homicide.
