Recipe for trouble: frozen lamb stuffed with drugs

A man carrying a frozen leg of lamb in his luggage has been arrested at a Northern Territory airport after a bag of drugs was allegedly found hidden inside the meat.

The 25-year-old was at the Nguiu airport on the Tiwi Islands when police searched his luggage.

They say 106 grams of cannabis were located inside the lamb and some frozen minced meat.

A 49-year-old woman was arrested at the same airport after a pilot spotted a bag of cannabis fall from her dress.

The pilot alerted authorities, who allegedly seized 27 grams of cannabis from the woman.
