A chef who hid his wife’s body in his freezer for three years after beating her to death with a cast iron pan was today found guilty of murder.
Peter Wallner thought wife Melanie stood in the way of his womanising so he attacked her with a griddle pan as she slept at their home in Surrey in August 2006, the Old Bailey heard.
He placed the body in a freezer in the garden shed but was caught after he dumped it in the wheelie bin when he left the country with new girlfriend Lilia Fenech.
