In a bid to avoid having its content provider license yanked in China, Google on Tuesday said it will stop redirecting all of its Google.cn traffic through Hong Kong and instead utilize a hybrid landing page.
Going forward, all users in China will be directed to a Google.cn landing page. The search component will still be an unfiltered option going through Google.com/hk, while other Google.cn services that can be provided unfiltered, like music and text translate, will be available via Google.cn.
