No joke, third White House crasher Carlos Allen is actually running for mayor.
Carlos Allen, how could we have underestimated you? When the infamous White House gate-crasher floated the notion of running for D.C. mayor, we basically blew it off.
Heck, anyone can put together a goofy Facebook poster saying he’s a candidate, as Allen did last spring. Doesn’t mean he is. But darned if Allen didn’t file papers Wednesday, making him one of seven candidates headed for the Democratic primary ballot, if his petition holds up under scrutiny (you need 2,000 signatures to qualify).
