To celebrate KeithOlbermann.com’s recent change in management, we’d like to give a little something back to you, our readers, and our community at large.

Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa, is one of our nation’s finest institutions of higher learning. A leading liberal arts school whose 1,200 students live and learn at a bucolic 129-acre campus about 20 minutes from downtown Cedar Rapids, Cornell offers about 40 areas of study miles from the soul-crushing gorges of upstate New York.

In honor of Cornell alumnus Keith Olbermann, KeithOlbermann.com would like to offer a $100 scholarship to the reader with the most compelling answers to the problems facing Americans today.

Please submit 500 words on one of the following topics:

1. America’s agricultural landscape is in crisis. Federal subsidies help, but the government needs to do more to aid industrial farming. In your opinion, how should President Obama reach out to farmers and others in the agriculture industry?

2. Cable news has dominated the popular imagination. How do you think the media is shaping America’s collective consciousness?

3. Who do you think is the Worst Person in the World? Why?

Video essays (two minutes or less, please) will also be considered.

KeithOlbermann.com does not discriminate on the basis of race, class, religion, gender, sexual preference or whether the applicant is a graduating high school senior. The winner is not required to put the $100 scholarship check toward furthering his or her education. Runners-up may be eligible to receive a T-shirt, and their work may be featured on KeithOlbermann.com.

Please e-mail submissions to keith@keitholbermann.com.
