Left off celebrity power lists, Jon Bon Jovi fumes

Font Size:

You know you’ve hit rock bottom when Britney Spears makes more power celebrity lists than you.

That is, if you’re Jon Bon Jovi, who considers himself worthy of making at least one of the celebrity lists released by Forbes magazine.  Much to his chagrin, the singer was left off of both the “Power 100” list and “Musicians’ Rich List.”

According to the NY Post:

‘Jon kicked up a huge fuss and got his people to complain. He couldn’t understand why he didn’t make the musicians list since Bon Jovi has been touring nonstop since February. Their contemporaries U2 and Bruce Springsteen were on the list. Even Britney Spears was No. 5, and she hasn’t done anything this year.’

Forbes then confirmed to Page Six that Bon Jovi’s people had, in fact, contacted them to whine about Captain Kidd’s exclusion from the list, which featured cool kids like U2, AC/DC, and Beyonce (the top three on the “Musicians’ Rich List”).

When the NY Post contacted Bon Jovi’s people, a rep balked at the accusation and assured the Post that his client had no such gripe:

‘That’s ridiculous. Last year, the band took an eight-month break from touring, so there was no expectation that they would rank on this year’s list.’

Well, at least we know he’s rich and powerful enough to hire PR reps to do damage control.
