While Annette Bening’s publicist calls “ridiculous” rumors her marriage with Warren Beatty is in trouble, some longtime friends of the couple say they are concerned.
“I haven’t seen Annette and Warren together in months,” said one source, who has known the two for many years. “I know actors are often off in the far corners of the world, but there have been several recent parties where it seemed odd that either Warren or Annette were there by themselves.”
Another friend, who also has worked with Beatty on several film projects, said he had heard “they were going through a rough patch, but then there are few marriages — especially in Hollywood — where there aren’t rough patches.”
As reported by the New York Post, the splitsville talk was further fueled when Bening’s people instructed press at the Deauville Film Festival in France (where she was promoting “The Kids Are All Right”) not to ask any questions about her marriage.
