Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s political action committee on Tuesday released a new video praising the Tea Party movement as “the future of politics,” in another gesture by the potential presidential candidate to align herself with the conservative grassroots.

Notably, Palin refers to the Tea Party as a “party,” as if she were talking about a third political party.

“This party that we call the Tea Party is the future of politics,” Palin says, as upbeat music plays over pictures of Palin speaking at a rally in the Nevada desert in March.

“The soul of this movement is the people, every day Americans who grow our food and run our small businesses, teach our kids and fight our wars,” Palin says in a voice-over. “They’re folks in small towns and cities across this great nation who saw what was happening and got involved.”

Palin says the Tea Party is about “common sense conservative principles.”

This is the second video Palin’s PAC, SarahPAC, has released this year. The first focused on women voters and Palin’s branding term for that demographic: Mama Grizzlies.
