Three people have filed complaints about push polls with state officials, alleging that at least two were conducted illegally and designed to besmirch Republicans running for the New Hampshire Senate, officials said.

The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office is evaluating the complaints and hopes to complete the work before the November election, Associate Attorney General Richard Head said.

One complaint involved a poll targeting Tom Eaton, a Republican running in the Keene area. Another involves Tom DeBlois, a Republican running in south Manchester and Litchfield.
