Following up on the news that Obama will appear on Mythbusters — revisiting the “Archimedes Death Ray,” a myth they’ve busted twice already, not that Obama keeps trying failed ideas over and over until they magically start working — the Associated Press reports:
President Barack Obama is taking his campaign message to “The Daily Show” with Jon Stewart.
White House spokesman Dan Pfeiffer says Obama is taping an appearance on Oct. 27, just days before the Nov. 2 elections. Stewart is coming to Washington next week for the “Rally to Restore Sanity” he is holding three days later on Saturday, Oct. 30, on the National Mall.
Of course. The reason the Democrats are in so much trouble these days is that we haven’t seen enough of Obama. If people just hear him talk some more, they’ll stop being stupid, crazy racists and start agreeing with him.
No doubt President Obama is being intensively coached right now in preparation for this hard-hitting interview. He needs to be ready for tough questions such as, “What’s it like being the president?” and “Why are the bad people so mean to you?” But then, I’m only being snide about it because my sanity hasn’t been restored yet.
Speaking of the Rally to Celebrate Smugness, is it okay to start calling it a political event now?
