The committee tasked with electing Republicans to the Senate raised $6.2 million in the first two weeks of October, about half a million dollars more than its Democratic counterpart.

“Senate Republicans are on offense in at least 11 Democrat Senate seats, and as the political landscape continues to shift in our favor, we are able to pour significant resources into competitive races in blue states like Washington and California,” said National Republican Senatorial Committee Executive Director Rob Jesmer.

While Republicans took in more money in early October, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee retained its advantage with cash on hand with $14.4 million compared with $11.8 million for the NRSC. In the entire election cycle, the DSCC has taken in $14 million more than its counterpart.

According to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission, both parties took out multi-million dollar lines of credit this week, a sign that the groups plan to continue to spend big on competitive races until Election Day on Nov. 2.
