At 107, Millie McCormick surely must be the world’s oldest Texas Rangers fan.

At her home in Autumn Leaves, a retirement community at White Rock Lake, she’s been watching the Rangers progress toward the World Series. Would it happen in her lifetime?

When McCormick turned 106 last summer, she had a visit with Joe Macko, the Rangers’ community goodwill ambassador. The Rangers’ victory Friday night fulfilled the dream of a long lifetime for McCormick.

“At her age, she has learned you don’t give up hope on anything. She is loving watching them on TV and is excited as can be about it,” said her great-granddaughter, Millie Sessions.

McCormick has been alive for every World Series – she was born July, 28, 1903, the year of the first official World Series.
