JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — Sarah Palin and her husband, Todd, are scheduled to headline a rally in Alaska hosted by Republican U.S. Senate hopeful Joe Miller.

An invitation for Thursday’s event in Anchorage was sent by Miller’s campaign and posted on the website Conservatives4Palin.com.

Palin has been a major player during the midterm election season. But she’d been keeping a relatively low profile in the bitterly contested Senate race in her home state. On Monday, she went to Facebook to defend Miller — and lash out at his Republican rival, Sen. Lisa Murkowski, who has mounted a write-in campaign after losing in the primary.

Palin also made a fundraising appeal for Miller.

The “Change D.C.” rally is also expected to include other conservative voices — like South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee — via video.
