WASHINGTON – Rhode Island’s Democratic gubernatorial hopeful has a sharp message for President Obama: “Shove it.”
The President is withholding his support as a favor to independent candidate Lincoln Chafee, a former GOP senator who endorsed Obama over Hillary Clinton and John McCain in the 2008 presidential election.
Caprio told WPRO the President can “take his endorsement and shove it,” calling the decision not to endorse a Democrat “Washington insider politics at its worst.”
