Rangers rotation likely to have C.J. Wilson in Game 2; Vladimir Guerrero could play both games in outfield

SAN FRANCISCO – The Rangers’ World Series rotation is taking shape.

Manager Ron Washington said left-hander C.J. Wilson probably will start Game 2, followed by right-hander Colby Lewis in Game 3 and right-hander Tommy Hunter in Game 4.

Cliff Lee will start the opener at AT&T Park against the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday night.

“It could change, but I don’t expect it to,” Washington said.

Washington said Hunter will stay in the fourth spot for two reasons: The Giants are heavy on left-handed hitters, and left-hander Derek Holland showed he can be strong out of the bullpen.

“He [Holland] gives us something coming out of that bullpen,” Washington said. “He can go through both left and right. He fits right now coming out of the bullpen.”

The Giants announced Monday that Tim Lincecum will start Game 1, and Matt Cain will follow. Jonathan Sanchez and Madison Bumgarner will start Games 3 and 4 in Arlington.
