SEATTLE (AP) — BOC Aviation has ordered eight Boeing 777-300ERs valued at $2.2 billion to be leased to Thai Airways International.
Boeing Co. spokesman Miles Kotay says the deal announced Tuesday is a new order for the Chicago-based aerospace company, although the airline had previously authorized the lease. Thai Airways said it plans to use the extended-range models to expand to new markets in Europe.
Singapore-based BOC Aviation leases 163 aircraft to airlines worldwide.
