MSNBC suspends Keith Olbermann: For this relief, much thanks

This just in from Mediaite. MSNBC President Phil Griffin has issued a statement:

I became aware of Keith’s political contributions late last night. Mindful of NBC News policy and standards, I have suspended him indefinitely without pay.

I’m not sure why this was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Let’s hope it’s only temporary, or my friend Ruth Graham will need to start all over, mocking whoever they put in that timeslot. Maddow? Alan Grayson? Che’s ghost?
