Airline travelers will be free to surf around the cabin at 35,000 feet this holiday season, thanks to Google, which is providing free Wi-Fi on Delta, AirTran and Virgin America airlines over the holiday travel season.

The giveaway lasts from Nov. 20 through Jan. 2, 2010, and is intended to promote the search and advertising giant’s Chrome browser. The offer is good on all flights on those carriers and is a repeat of a promotion from last year. Details can be found at freeholidaywifi.com. Typically GoGo Inflight Wi-Fi runs about $15 per flight segment.
