West Chester’s Rep. John Boehner may be in line to become House Speaker, but that doesn’t mean he intends to take every perk that comes with the new job. He’ll get a $30,000 salary increase and become 2nd in line for the presidency (right after Vice President Joe Biden). But Boehner told reporters today that he’ll keep flying commercial between Ohio and Washington.
“I have talked to our security folks about the security that is involved in my new role,” Boehner told reporters at a Capitol news conference today. “But over the last 20 years, I have flown back and forth to my district on a commercial aircraft and I’m going to continue to do that.”
