What should have been some innocent snowball fun in Germany turned into a violent riot when participants started replacing snow with bottles.

The fight began as a toss of snowballs between about 50 people in the eastern city of Leipzig, according to NewsCore. But it quickly escalated when participants began aiming at luxury cars, passerby, supermarkets, buses and trams.

The fight escalated to more than 500 people who began hurling bottles, snowballs and even setting fires in the street.
