BELLEVUE, Neb. — A Bellevue boy, 13, along with three middle school-aged friends, went on a joyride early Sunday morning in a woman’s SUV. A short chase ensued, with speeds that exceeded 100 mph, police said.

KETV NewsWatch 7 obtained an exclusive copy of dashcam video of the incident from the Bellevue Police Department.

Bellevue police Officer Tim Flohrschutz said he was looking for a drunken driver in an SUV, just before 6 a.m. He said he spotted an SUV on Harlan Lewis Road, driving erratically, similar to the one he was looking for.

“My first thought was it’s an intoxicated driver,” Flohrschutz said.
