Christine O’Donnell says she wants to start a political action committee and is tentatively calling it Christine PAC.

But O’Donnell, a Tea Party-backed Republican who lost a bid for Vice President Biden’s former U.S. Senate seat in Delaware, says it will not be a cookie-cutter version of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s Sarah PAC.

“The focus of my PAC is not necessarily on getting behind individual candidates, but right now, more so issues,” she told reporters after speaking at a Northern Virginia Tea Party gathering. “I want to take on projects to help raise awareness about these political issues.”

There’s been much speculation about what O’Donnell will do with her future. It was announced earlier this month that she plans to author a book about her campaign and her “frustrations” with the political process, to be published in August 2011.
