NFL finishes Brett Favre-Jenn Sterger sexting scandal probe, Roger Goodell to rule on punishment

The NFL wrapped up its two-month Brett Favre investigation on Tuesday, Jenn Sterger’s attorney told the Daily News, and it is now up to Commissioner Roger Goodell to decide what punishment – if any – is appropriate for the aging quarterback, who allegedly sent X-rated photos and voicemails to the TV personality in 2008.

Joseph Conway, Sterger’s lawyer, told the Daily News on Wednesday that NFL director of investigatons Joe Hummel told him all the evidence has been reviewed and passed along to Goodell.

“He told me that it was out of his hands and they sent it upstairs to the commissioner’s office,” Conway said. “It is in the commssioner’s hands now.”
