DENVER – Bronco great John Elway says he has spoken to the team’s owner and chief operating officer about joining the staff, but he says no offers have been made, yet.
Speaking during his radio show on 87.7 The Ticket, Elway was quick to dispute rumors that he might be being considered to run the team, following the firing of Josh McDaniels on Monday.
“I spend most of my time saying things are not true,” Elway said Friday morning.
“I’m not interested in being the head coach and I’m not interested in being a general manager. I don’t have that kind of experience,” he said earlier in the program.
Elway, however, didn’t rule out another role with the team.
