If it’s Saturday, it must be time for another pic of my horrifying surgical incision

I’m not going to post it here, but if you really want to see it, click away. Be warned, it’s pretty grim. It’s not as bad as it looked after my first surgery last February, but it’s not at all pleasant. When I looked at it, my mind sort of dissociated. Like, “Okay, this isn’t really attached to my body, right? That would be ridiculous! Whew.” The mind protects itself from horror, I guess.

Anyway, the surgical resident was nice enough to take that pic. My surgeon said it was a good experience for the resident, because the surgery required six steps and they were able to get them all done the first time. What was supposed to take 3-4 hours only took 2.

Oh, and my leg was shaved like that already. Long story. That’s the last time I let Gutfeld sleep over.

P.S. And once again, “JK” is my surgeon’s initials. I was not operated on by the author of the Harry Potter series.
